Unique Morocco Experience 5 Days

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Fes

In Casablanca we’ll visit Hassan 2nd Mosque, the biggest mosque in Africa, and experience the Cornich coast before departing for Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will see the Oudaya Kasbah and its beautiful gardens, this Kasbah of Oudaya is located at Abou Regreg River, it was built during the reign of the Almohad dynasty in 1150 AD, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan II, and Hassan Tower which is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat were constructed in 1195 AD, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world with the mosque, after we will start travelling to Fes .

Get to Fes at the end of the afternoon. Check in to your riad at the heat of the Medina.

Day 2: Exploring Fes

Most of the morning will be spent visiting the medina (the old city) and its alleys – including the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque.

Fes comprises of three distinct parts, Fes El Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where there are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies, Fes-Jadid or the new Fes is home of the Mellah, the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle (the newest section of Fes) created during the French occupation.

After lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, you’ll visit the Merinid tombs and experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city.

Overnight accommodation will be at your hotel or riad in Fes.

Day 3: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Ouazzan – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, travelling to Volubilis and chefchaouen by air-conditioned vehicle, today you will get to Volubilis, the well preserved Roman Empire in North Africa, dating to 25BC, where you will see the most beautiful Mosaics in Morocco dating back to 3rd century BC, here you will learn a lot about the Roman occupation and culture in Morocco.

After a couple of hours drive arriving in Ouazzan – a beautiful town in the Rif Mountains – you will experience amazing views over the fertile plain of Lukus Valley ) after we will continue to chefchaouen.

Overnight at Riad.

Day 4: Explore Chefchaouen “blue village”

After breakfast in your riad, you will a free day to exploring the Medina and its alleys.

Chefchaouen, in the Rif Mountains of Morocco’s North, is a popular destination for visitors, nestling in a valley beneath the “horns” of the mountains to which its name alludes (Ichawen means goat’s horns in the local Berber dialect), Chefchaouen is famous for the blue-painted houses in the steep and winding alleyways of the medina, this northern area of Morocco was once a Spanish Protectorate and there are many elements of Spanish culture and language still in evidence.

The city of Chefchaouen is well worth exploring for a day or two; the medina is attractive and small enough to navigate easily and you will find shops and artisans offering many local crafts, near the river, you can see women washing laundry in the way they have for centuries, in their colorful striped aprons which are typical of the region, you’ll have the opportunity to meet locals and walk in this beautiful Medina.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Casablanca/Tangier

After breakfast at riad, we will drive you to Tangier via the Coast visiting the fortified city “ Kasbah” of Assilah which has been colonized by the Portuguese and get the Portuguese architecture, as it have a very interesting history, known by the colorful walls which get painted every Thursday according the history of it, Assilah is one of the chilling Cities that Morocco has to offer small and calm, with a stretch beaches, after lunch our tour will end in Tangier Port which you can take the ferry to Spain.

The tour ends at the Port.
