Your tour begins with collection from your accommodation in Fes.
Travelling to Volubilis and Meknes by air-conditioned vehicle, today you will get to Volubilis, the well preserved Roman Empire in North Africa, dating to 25BC, where you will see the most beautiful Mosaics in Morocco dating back to 3rd century BC, here you will learn a lot about the Roman occupation and culture in Morocco, next, continue to the fascinating city of Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco, here you will see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour built by the sultan My Ismail, the royal granary and the Sahrij Souani basin used for irrigation and plantation, later in the afternoon we will drive you back to Fes where your accommodation. Sightseeing Fes Tour
Today you will enjoy visiting to the spiritual capital of Morocco: Fes.
In the morning and after breakfast in your riad you will be spent visiting the medina (the old city) and its alleys, first you will start with a walking tour within the narrow labyrinth streets, visiting the famous old Tanneries, and then the Quaraouine Mosque and University, the Attarin Medersa and the Najjarin Fountain, visit the medieval medina with its narrow streets: the Bouanania and the Attarine medersas built by the Merinides, the Karaouine mosque considered as the ancient educational center, and the Nejjarine fountain, then visit the souks where the craftsmen still labor in the old age oriental tradition.
After lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, next we will pick you up and drive to the old Jewish quarter and the Royal palace gate yard, where you will learn about the Jewish history in Morocco, your visit includes the tile art factory and then a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes, then we will discover outside the medina.
ONE DAY TOUR TO AZROU- IFRAN FROM FEZ
After breakfast in your riad/hotel you will have the chance to experience the atmosphere of Fez and its historic monuments towards the beautiful town in Morocco which is named Ifran (the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco).
Ifran is quite impressive in itself – the town is squeaky clean broad suburban streets and lake-studded parks, the prestigious University of Al Akhawayn is the other landmark of the town, mirroring its architecture and affluent feel, after Ifran, you will depart to forest of Azrou which is famous for its aromatic cedar trees and where you will stop for some beautiful pictures of the Barbary macaque monkeys also, and next you will drive in Michlifan where you will enter Ifran from east and back to Fez in the afternoon.
